When I was a little girl we received a Christmas
card with the illustration of the lion lying down
with the lamb and the simple message, "Peace.".
I loved it. As a sophomore at Furman University,
I had a design project requiring the design and
production of a Christmas Banner. I used the Lion
and Lamb theme and worked hours bringing it to
life in fabric. All the banners created for the class
were displayed in the halls of the main classroom
building. They were all good, but mine was clearly
the best. How do I know??? The next day it was
missing...never to be found. During the night
someone came in, and among all the wonderful
banners, stole one.... Mine.
I think of that banner
every time I make one of these ornaments.
